Welcome to the official Hartshill Park web site edited by the 'Friends of Hartshill Park'.

The site contains information about the park, the wildlife to be found in it and the work carried out by the Friends of Hartshill Park in order to turn the park into 'A Haven in the Heart of the City' in conjunction with a number of sponsors.

Location

Hartshill Park is situated in the heart of the Potteries, and recently gained Local Nature Reserve status. The park occupies an area of approximately 32 acres between Shelton New Road and North Street in the north and west, and Hartshill Road and St Dominic's Court in the south and east.

Getting There and Access

The nearest motorway junction is J15 on the M6 and the nearest railway station is Stoke-on-Trent. The park is easily accessible from any of the bus routes that run along Hartshill Road (24, 25, 26 and 31). Entrances are situated near St Dominic's Court, St Dominic's School and the Esso Garage on Hartshill Road; on Vicarage Road; on Shelton New Road and on North Street. Car parks are provided at Vicarage Road and St Dominic's (both accessible from Hartshill Road) and North Street.

be considerate of other park users and local inhabitants
observe wildlife without disturbing, or interrupting nature's balance.
