Sponsors and FundingFriends of Hartshill Park work with the land owners, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, who maintain the site as public open space, and with local residents, to provide what local people want. As a voluntary body, the group is able to apply for funding. We have already been provided with money and donations from various sources, but we appreciate any financial assistance for improving the site. The Co-op have provided the eggs for the Easter Egg Hunts, and donated the money for one of the entrance signs. The tarmac paths arose from the 'safe routes to school' budget, and contractors installed them on behalf of the City Council.
GreenSteps has issued us with shower resistant fluorescent tabards. They funded the hedge laying course, and further improvements to the park. The Local Heritage Initiative has given us three benches, each of which interprets a different aspect of the park's history. More information about the Local Heritage Initiative Project For a full list, see our Links page.
